To better prepare our paramedics to function effectively in remote locations, Safety Management Systems provides Medical Care Person in Charge (MCPIC) course to all of it's staff. MCPIC is a 45-hour course designed to broaden the physical assessment skills of the paramedic to effectively evaluate nonemergency complaints and properly relay findings to our in-house medical director to recommend a course of treatment. The focus is to educate the paramedic in identifying abnormalities, and then be the "eyes and hands" of the physician. |
